Mountain Sports and Activities

• Tobogganing and Ice Skating: in the centre of Les Houches are the nursery slopes which also have a child friendly area for tobogganing and outdoor ice rink (Patinoire). Sledges and skates can be hired locally

• Indoor rock climbing can be found at Mont Blanc Escalade (walking distance from the apartment). This climbing wall is one of the biggest in France and accommodates beginners and children of all ages. Tuition and equipment hire is available.
• World Cup Ski Racing: Les Houches hosts the annual World Cup Men's Downhill ski race normally in the second week of January. The apartment is positioned just below the finish line and the last section of the course can be seen from the balcony. A great carnival atmosphere fills the village and the skiing is awe inspiring to watch.

• Mountain Lunches: Join skiers for a delicious lunch in the mountains. If you buy a Gourmand ski pass you can gain access to the Chamonix slopes for the purpose of dining in the superb mountain restaurants. The cost of the pass can be recouped when you purchase a meal in one of the many mountain restaurants.
